Christmas is a great time of the year. Even in our politically correct society, everyone knows that Christmas is about the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Try as some may, you can't deny that we are celebrating Jesus and his arrival to this earth! As believers, we often want to make sure that everyone knows this fact so we have signs and cards that say "Jesus is the reason for the season". Believe me, I have no problem with that statement. I wholeheartedly agree with it.

I was thinking today about that statement and it struck me that the reason Jesus came was to redeem us. God so loved the world that He gave us His Son in order to deliver us from the authority of darkness and translate us into His Kingdom. Without trying to sound prideful, we were the reason for the season. God's love was so outstanding that He sent Jesus to destroy the works of the devil and to restore to mankind what sin had damaged. Remember, God's giving heart is never ending. He can and will fix anything that is broken in our lives today. Even if we don't put it on a Christmas Card, from God's perspective, you were the reason for the season. Have a great Christmas!
