Has God ever asked you a question that the answer was so obvious that you wondered why He asked it? Most of us can answer that with a resounding yes. Take heart, you are not the first one that has gone through this experience. In Genesis 3:9, after Adam has sinned, God asks him "Where art thou?"
Certainly God knew where Adam was when he asked that question. He was not trying to "find" Adam as if he had lost or misplaced him. He was however wanting Adam to find or locate himself. He simply wanted Adam to admit that he had sinned. Adam's response was to blame his wife and actually even blamed God for giving her to him! He was unwilling to accept responsibility for what he had done.
Let's be the type of people who have the strength to face up to our sins and effectively deal with them. It does take courage, but the results will be a freedom in the soulish realm (mind, will & emotions) that will strengthen your relationships and life in general. Have a great week.
