I Timothy 4:1 says, "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." Although it is often hard to believe, many good people have done exactly what this verse is saying. They have given their ear over to hear demon inspiried counsel that is causing them to depart from sound Christian conduct. Some have actually perverted scriptures to make them say that sin is okay! Others have gone so far as to say that "God doesn't mind" their sexual misconduct. This kind of thinking is the product of seducing spirits at work within the lives of deceived people. In my travels, I see this all too often.

My reason for writing this is to simply say don't be alarmed when you see this type of thing going on! Paul warned us that it would occur! We often want to get angry at the deceived person for acting so foolishly, but a more productive reaction is to be violent with the source of their ungodly behaviour.

Remember, you will hear the council of whatever kingdom that you decide to pursue. As believers, if we give ourselves over to listening to the spirit of this age, it's unholy counsel will intermingle with the Word and a little leaven will mess up the whole lump!
