Romans 12:2 tells us to "be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..." Make no mistake, the world's system is trying to lock us into it's way of thinking, believing and acting. I realize that not all of that system is evil, but there is in that system an attempt to slowly pull our thinking away from the Godly standard set forth by the Word of God. That worldly system will do much to persuade us that it's better than God's ways.

Verse two tells us to not be "conformed" to that system. Allow me a little liberty here. I like to say that the world is trying to "con" us into "forming" after it's pattern. What is a con? It is a convincing deception whose attempt is to steal something of value from our lives. Have you ever been "conned" out of some money? Most of us have at one time or another. The deceptive "con" of the world is to convince us that it's ways are better for us than God's ways, thereby stealing a valuable treasure of purity, righteousness and holiness.

Most of us hate to get "conned" out of something. Don't allow the world to con you out of God's purpose for your life. Have a great week.
